Dehua has gained another international "good friend"
On January 29th, Dehua County and the city of Upper Miranowac in Serbia officially signed a letter of intent to become sister cities, marking a new stage in the cooperation between the two places. This signing ceremony aims to promote in-depth exchanges and cooperation between the two sides in areas such as economy and trade, culture, and tourism.
During the talks, the two sides engaged in practical discussions on topics such as the linkage of the ceramic industry, mutual learning of cultural heritage, and the joint construction of tourism resources. They also showcased their respective development characteristics through city promotional videos. With its profound heritage as the "World Capital of Ceramics", Dehua County has presented the unique charm of thousand-year-old porcelain art to the Serbian side.
Under the witness of the attending guests, the leaders of Dehua County and Mayor Dejan Kovacevic of Upper Miranowac City jointly signed the letter of intent for sister cities and exchanged the text. Subsequently, the delegation from Dehua County presented the Serbian side with Dehua white porcelain works symbolizing friendship. The smooth and jade-like texture of these works implies the lasting and pure friendship between the people of China and Serbia.
This visit has laid a solid foundation for the development of relations between the two places and injected new vitality into the practice of the "ironclad friendship" between China and Serbia at the local level. Both sides unanimously expressed that they will make joint efforts to transform their intentions into specific cooperation projects, making the friendship between the two places as resilient as ceramic through the test of time.
